Kiosk4:BaltiKiosk is a proposal for a public artwork celebrating Birmingham’s world-famous cuisine. We believe to eat at a Birmingham Balti restaurant is to experience a vital part of the makeup of the city, and BaltiKiosk brings together two local ideologies in order to celebrate the City’s cultural diversity and to create a new synthesis of cultures.  BaltiKiosk offers a concept of different cultures coming together as a way of life examining past, present and future. Integrating regional and international cultural practices of cooking, architecture and art BaltiKiosk provides a unique series of events and social encounters designed to teach, entertain and inspire.
